Teachers online meeting

Students opinion about “Let's share our European Identity” eTwinning Project

Miruna

«Everything about eTwinning was totally impressive and after taking part of this project I can say about myself that I am a better person. What I loved about this project, was writing and assambling information in the digital books. I was a member of J team, “Proverbs and their meanings”, and my target was to find and translate Romanian proverbs. I was glad and positively impressed when I had found that the meanings of proverbs and sayings from Romania, Portugal, Italy and France were quite similar.»

Georgiana

«eTwinning made me become a well-informed person, as I developed new abilities in writing and speaking English. I took part of the A team, and my task was to collect information about the popular and unique buildings from Focșani and other cities in Romania. I was very impressed to see that my colleagues from different countries were as involved as me, but what impressed me the most were the architectural styles and the details of the buildings from Portugal and Belgium.»

Alexandra

«For me, the eTwinning experience is qualified as an online adventure through the insides of European culture. In the section “Folk dances from the core” I had found unknown details until that moment, and I noticed that some of the Italian folk dances seem to be similar to Romanian ones, which means that after all, eTwinning teached us not only that all the cultures are different but they also have a common aspect, which means that we all are brothers and sisters, having a common heritage.»

Bianca

«From my point of view, being a part of eTwinning project means to take part of a beautiful and great family. We learned a lot of new things about different cultures but we also improved our skills in writing, speaking and editing texts. I took part of 3 different teams, but the most beautiful activity, was searching symbols of my county. I have something more to add and it is about Portugal’s symbols, especially about the Portuguese guitar which, from my point of view it is one of the most unique and amazing musical instruments I have ever seen. #eTwinningpower.»

Vladut

«I love to learn and to share what I’ve learned, in order to make people around me find that the real heritage is inside of our hearts. I was very involved in getting my tasks correctly and completely done, while taking part from the eTwinning Family. After being a part of the D team, “Landscapes from where I come from” and seeing how many beautiful natural places and landscapes our continent owns, I promised myself that one day I will start to travel and I will visit them all!»

Romina

«“To know more - To be better” is the motto that made me take part of this project. I had always considered myself a persevering person and I decided that eTwinning is the best place for acquiring new vocabulary, making new friends and developing my knowledge. Music was always my main passion and with eTwinning I discovered what music means and at what level is this intangible but very pleasant for our ears good taken, by different countries from Europe.»

Silviu

«When I say “eTwinning” I think about love and knowledge - Love for the European heritage from our ascensors, love for nowadays’ people, for their interests, and for their aspirations. I had learned that dancing is a real art and that Europeans respect their traditions, by maintaining the old manners and customs, preserving and keeping alive their culture and heritage. We can see this at daily, monthly or even annual spectacles, shows and festivals which usually take place in the centers, in the squares of the capitals or in others big cities.»

Bogdan

«I am so happy that I had the opportunity to meet new people, to learn what European culture is in it’s depth and to find new and unique ways for developing my attraction to gather information. Not just that it was a nice activity, but I learned lots of interesting things about traditional dishes from European countries. I can’t wait to try Bacalhau (Portuguese dish), Kaputsnika (Slovak dish), Mussels (Belgian dish) and many others! I am glad to be a part of eTwinning project!»

Corina

«With eTwinning, my knowledge about the European partners and their culture has become my newest passion. The creativity of each of us made me want to be a more original person and to improve my character and personality. eTwinning didn’t took part just of my past, but it takes and will take part of my future too, as I made a promise to myself: To visit all the places I saw in the “Landscapes from where I come from” ebook in an Europe’s Tour. eTwinning is winning!»

Marina

«This project made me want to travel and spend time in all those countries I’ve learned about! Also, not only the places I found here impressed me, but I was also impressed by the arts and handcrafts other countries’ people practiced in the past and even nowadays. I literally want to try to make some Italian necklaces, or to create and paint some Portuguese traditional clay pots. I would also love to teach people from other countries how to paint Easter eggs in our traditional way or how to sew traditional clothes.»

George

«eTwinning made the love growing inside of me! Love for people, love for pluriculturalism, love for places, but the most important type of love that I had achieved through this project is the love for the Mother-Land, Romania and for the native culture and traditions. Studying about castles was always my passion, and now, that I visited all the castles from Romania I am looking forward some ways to visit the castles I saw on the “Old castles, old stories” digital book. I would also love to discover by myself the legends and stories that were hidden between their blackened walls.»

Daniela

«Good and useful information, amazing and friendly people, impressive places, art and buildings! This is eTwinning! I was very excited to learn new things about my favourite topic, Fashion and clothing. I noticed that all the Eastern clothes have common details, but beside of everything, each one is beautiful in it’s unique way! Thanks, eTwinning for helping us to know each other better and especially for sending us to the roots and to the beginning of every European country! #Etwinningfamily»

Monica

«eTwinning taught us not only about the connections between our countries and our common heritage, as even if you are a teacher or a student, you finish by finding out that you are a child of your country and a child of Mother’s Europe. This project taught me to respect and to promote the ideals, conceptions and traditions of our countries and to maintain the National and European heritage. It was such a pleasure to spend time and to work at this project next to my teachers and colleagues!»
